Lucie Sulova was born in a small city of the Czech Republic, called Liberec, in 1999 where she grew up surrounded by urban jungle. Her refuge/escape/ was grandpa’s cottage located in the mountains, where she spent her most memorable moments of childhood. Lucie’s passion wasn’t just nature, traditional Czech mushroom hunting and hours long walks, but also strong imagination and sensitive perception that she thrives to capture in her paintings. An experimental artist, Lucie is a self-taught individual who values personal growth and artistic exploration. Although she harbored a deep passion for painting she chose to pursue a conventional path by studying economics and trade, which let her passion to grow by its own natural way. After graduating and working in several office jobs she decided to turn her life to mountains again and moved to Canada in 2022, where her artistic career has began. Now based in Revelstoke, Lucie is dedicated to self-development and the evolution of her art.

While her style is different from Bob Ross, she sticks to open-minded experimentation on behalf of joy.

Her art is playful, almost childlike with vibrant, funky strokes blended into a realistic framework. Inspiration for her work comes from both the world around her and the vivid dreams she experiences.

Lucie founds art to be as essential as it was for ancient cultures, who used cave paintings to convey important messages, such as the famous one where warriors hunt a running crowd of lettuce.
